Message from David Wheeler President

It was wonderful to meet so many members at the recent annual meeting, held in conjunction with the British Transplantation Society in Bournemouth. I hope that those of you who attended enjoyed both the scientific and social aspects. I’m sure you will agree that the standard of presentations was generally very high, with some excellent talks from our overseas guests.

We are now working on UK Kidney Week 2014, which will take place in The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow between Tuesday 29th April and Friday 2nd May. This meeting is organised in partnership with the British Renal Society, a working arrangement that we intend to take forward into the future. The main meeting will run from Wednesday to Friday, but the Conference Centre  will be available on the Tuesday for satellite meetings. The “Kidney Week” concept is intended to bring together the multidisciplinary team and we hope that the extended availability of the conference centre will provide a cost effective opportunity for smaller groups to meet and do business.

We are making progress with our strategic plan, central to which is an upgrade of our website. You will notice changes very soon and we would appreciate feedback, positive or negative, to renal@mci-group.com as we move forward with this project.
