Cheaper Kidney Care
A forum organised jointly by Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and The Renal Association ‘Can we do kidney care cheaper?’ was held at Guy’s Hospital on September 17th. It was chaired by Dr. Kevin Harris and Dr. John Scoble. Attendance was invited from all kidney units in the United Kingdom. The format was unconventional. Each of nine presenters had to put forward an idea for saving money in a 15 minute slot and a vote taken on the best idea. The presentation from Southend won!
